◉ Certification Introduction
Switzerland is a non-EU country and does not participate in the CE system of the EU in terms of product certification. Therefore, the product regulations in Switzerland have their own requirements. The Swiss Electrical Engineering Association SEV (Schwezerlscher Elektrotechnischer VEREIN) is the name of the national certification body in Switzerland. According to the provisions of the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment Act, low voltage electrical equipment entering Switzerland must undergo mandatory certification and must be marked with the S+ safety symbol. Low voltage electrical equipment outside the scope of mandatory certification, such as when requested by the customer, can be marked with a voluntary safety symbol based on the test report. When applying for Swiss certification, special attention should be paid to the use of the applicant's trademark. The applicant's trademark will be registered in the Swiss certificate query system, thereby regulating various goods entering Switzerland.
