◉ Certification Introduction
NF is the abbreviation for French standards. It was implemented in 1938 and its management body is the French Standards Association (AFNOR). France compiles a standard revision plan every three years and makes adjustments once a year. The French Standards Association guides the technical work of 17 major standardization planning groups (GPN) and coordinates their work with the planning committees (COP). Each planning group has a strategic policy committee (COS) to guide the work, which brings together decision-makers from related economic fields and is responsible for determining priority tasks, participating in seeking funding, and determining the allocation of project funds.
